The first goal was to find a great deal on Cedar Point Discount Tickets.  Because of the short notice, I could not get the discount tickets on the cedar point website because they were only good on certain days.

Drug Mart turned out to be the best Cedar Point Discount Tickets we could find in short notice.  It saved us time and it saved our family of four about $18 I believe.

We went on a Friday to try to avoid the weekend crowd and there was also a chance of showers all day.  I actually looked at the satellite to see where the storm clouds were the morning before going and they appeared north of Sandusky.

This turned out to be a great call.  With it being a Friday and with a weather forecast of rain, we found the park fairly empty.  We only waited more than 5 minutes for a couple of the rides.

In the end, around 8 the rain did arrive and the coasters were shut down, but by then the kids were really tired and we just road a couple of the smaller rides still running and left.

They obviously added many kids rides that they purchased from Geauga Lake when it closed.  This was great because we have a 13 year old and a 5 year old – and both had a lot of fun.  There was plenty of things for the 5 year old to do.  I’d not come to Cedar Point in many years because I thought it was mostly coasters and not much for younger kids.

The kids coaster they got from Geauga Lake is much better than the kids coaster they have had from before.  It was my 5 year old’s favorite ride.

If you need to have a fun day that is affordable go get your Cedar Point discount tickets at Drug Mart and take the family out for a good time at Cedar Point.

This year we are doing tennis camp, volleyball camp and T-Ball for the younger daughter.  In the Fall we will do soccer for her as well.

These kinds of activities are affordable and are a great way to keep kids active over the summer months.

The biggest disadvantage I have seen has been the weather this year.  We missed more than half the T-ball practices and tennis luckily took place today despite a lot of rain last night.

One thing that we have not liked the last two years is the Saturday Suzuki Piano Class for our older daughter.  The younger one loves it, and the older one loved the Saturday group piano classes when she was younger as well.  But it also came at an expense.  She also wanted to play Basketball and it was not possible because it was at the same time.

So we just found out that the program is changing.  Saturday classes next year for older, more advanced piano students will be changing to a small group once a month where only the older kids will get together and do more advanced piano stuff.  It is really good news, and will free us up a bit with time and finances to do other things to create a great lifestyle.

Our older daughter is in middle school and just for gun she took orchestra. Her background is in piano and guitar, do when she picked the bass for the orchastra it was a big change. But the background from the other instruments has made it rather smooth. She also says that while she is not great with the instrument after only 6 weeks, she does feel like she knows music in general better than average. So it might have really worked. There are several huge difference. The first is that we attend Saturday group classes. It is especially good when the kids are 4 or 5 and doing he rythm classes. Maya just had her first class and loved it

Another thing about Suzuki piano is that the kids start perfoming the first year they are taking lessons. Maya was all smiles after her first performance at 4 years of age. She cannot wait to do it again.

Parental involvement is much greater a d that is why Suzuki piano is not for everyone. More hours of class. More hours of practice and one parent needs to take notes and participate in every aspect.

Suzuki piano is very good and our kids are great musicians, and if you are looking for a serious music program that will make music a big part of their life, then it is the way to go.

The reason is that the biggest difference I saw was size, and we do not need a big grill.

Now that said, one thing that dissapointed me was that I could not use lava rocks in the grill because it said there was a danger of a grease fire.

So while I grill works great and cost less than $150 even with buying a new propaine gas tank, it does not give the food the smokey flavor that I would like.  The directions said something about a wood box and I am going to have to look into what that is.

However, the grill does speed things up for our family that needs to cook things quickly and get going.  Now we are eating fish and chicken much more frequently and we do vegetarian things on the upper rack.
